How to configure Microsoft Outlook to access Hotmail and Yahoo mail accounts

Microsoft Outlook can be used for accessing both hotmail and yahoo email accounts. Follow the below instructions to configure the mail clients.

Click the tools menu followed by options. This should display the option dialog.

Click on the E-mail accounts button, this should display the mail accounts dialog

To configure a new account select Add a new e-mail account option and click Next. This will display the following dialog where the mail server type has to be selected. Hotmail is a HTTP mail server and yahoo is a POP 3 mail server. Select the corresponding options depending upon the email accounts.

Configure Hotmail

To configure Hotmail fill in the required information and click next

Configure Yahoo

To configure Yahoo, fill in the required information regarding the Yahoo’s POP 3 mail server and SMTP server.

The mail accounts now should be available under the folder list.

    i don’t remember all the steps off hand but lots of info is available on setting up ur outlook account - just google it and u get lots of options. Also free accounts such as yahoo does not work with outlook u will need to upgrade ur free yahoo account to a paid yahoo account if u want it to work
