Windows Live Writer is a desktop application designed for blogging. This has got every features and more like other free editors (Qumana). Some of the key features are

Font format can be modified.
Image prorperties has more options like changing the Layout and adding effects.
The initial load time of the application is very less when comapred to Qumana editor.
The CPU memory consumption is 5 times lesser than Qumana editor.
Map can be inserted.
This currently supports MySpace, Wordpress, Movable Type and other Weblog Services.
Code can be directly embeded from YouTube and Google Video.
This has option of loading the no of previous blog posts, minimum is 5 and maximum is 25.
The most important feature is that there are plugins available likeTag4Writer and Microsoft has also published the API’s for this writer this allows developers to add their own plugins.
