TeleType’s WorldNav 3100 Stylish and Compact GPS Navigation system

  TeleType has introduced a new GPS enabled navigation system called WorldNav 3100. This has a 3.5-inch color TFT touch screen and a SiRF star III chipset GPS receiver. This built with a rechargeable lithium ion battery, Samsung S3C2440 300MHz running on Microsoft Windows CE.NET 4.2, built-in speaker (0.5w) and miniUSB port. Apart from GPS navigation, this can also play MP3 and can be used for displaying still images and video playback. Device is available in two models, Deluxe and Premium models. Both models have same hardware specification apart from this the premium version comes with natural female voice guidance, automatic 2D/3D view, day night and automatic reroute features. To summarize, WorldNav 3100 is stylish, lightweight, and easy to use and the deluxe one priced around USD399 and premium is around Premium Premium .

Nokia 330 - GPS Navigation enabled tablet PC

  Nokia is introducing its first dedicated personal GPS navigational device. This has a 3.5-inch color touch screen and provides directions via speakers and touch screen. This features a GPS receiver and integrates location-based services through a SiRF Star III GPS chipset and pre-installed with European Maps with option of choosing 2D/3D map views. This is also built with a 2GB memory card. Nokia 330 built primarily for GPS navigation but this can also be used as Audio player (MP3 and WMA), Image viewer (JPEG and BMP) and Video player (WMV, AVI, MPEG4, ASF and MPG).

Sanyo’s EasyStreet NVM-4030 : Cheap GPS Navigator

  NVM-4030 is WinCE powered Sanyo’s cheap GPS navigator priced around $400. This features a 4 inch screen and enabled with voice instructions and turn by turn navigation. Sanyo also has Bluetooth hands-free calling, digital audio playback and MP3 player which supports MP3, WMA, WAV audio formats. Sanyo NVM-4030 will also have the usual navigation tools like 2D and 3D maps. On the negative side, the battery life comes up to 3 hours only. Overall Sanyo has designed a stylish product which might give TomTom, Garmin and Mio a run for their money.

  Lacie has introduced a new 4 and 8 GB credit card sized USB drive. These are known as Carte Orange or Orange card. This compact, well designed and the width is just 6mm, so this can easily slide inside the pocket. This features a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connection and this is a plug & play device, can be used any where with out any driver. This is also optional USB extension cable for computers that require longer cable. This can also be reformatted to hold some fresh data.

Helix XM2go - Samsung’s portable XM satellite radio/MP3 player

  Samsung Helix XM2go is a portable XM satellite radio and MP3 player. This allows you to listen to XM anywhere you go, record songs and shows from XM, and store your favorite MP3 and WMA files. This is compact and palm sized package with built in antenna which makes it truly portable. The internal memory for storage can hold 50 hours of XM programming, including individual songs and blocks of XM programming. This features a wireless FM transmitter and includes other accessories like cradle, power adapter, audio cable and car kit (sold separately). This has XM + Napster software for purchasing music online, built-in rechargeable battery and USB cable connectivity for uploading MP3 files from the PC.
