Apple’s iPhone is a combination of a mobile phone, iPod and Internet Communication device all in a handheld device. This features a new user interface based on a large multi touch display. The screen size is 3.5 inches and the device measures 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches giving a sleek and attractive look and weighs only 135 grams. This supports screen resolution of 320 by 480 at 160 ppi and has a storage space of 4 GB or 8 GB and built with OS X operating system. This supports GSM bands - Quad-band (MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900). The battery life comes up to 5 hrs for Talk/Video/Browsing and up to 16 hrs for Audio playback. The device supports wireless features like Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) + EDGE + Bluetooth 2.0.
iPhone’s revolutionary user interface and its full QWERTY soft keyboard is going to attract many users and can be termed as the phone to be watched in 2007. This device is certainly going to boost Apple’s revenue and already after the announcement the share price has appreciated by 8 %.
