How to change a keyboard of Sony Laptop/Notebook PCG-FR415M

This post illustrates the steps (mainly through photos ) required to replace a Sony Laptop PCG-FR415M Keyboard.

1. Order a new keyboard for the Laptop. Make sure to order the keyboard using correct part number or keyboard number of the laptop model.

i.e for FRV(PCG-FR415M) model  Laptop US Keyboard number is KFRMBA136A  and part number is 147808621.

2. Using a sharp object carefully lift the top cover. The place where the sharp object should be used are marked in yellow color.

Unscrew the keyboard screw and slowly remove the keyboard from laptop after disconnecting the keyboard from the laptop.

And now replace the old keyboard with the new one.

and connect the keyboard to the laptop and fix the top cover.

The above steps looks simple but still these steps have to be done through proper laptop technician to avoid any damage to the laptop.
