Verizon Wireless has launched its first CDMA-enabled BlackBerry Pearl mobile phone. It operates on dual-band 800/1900 MHz 1x EVDo (Evolution-Data Optimized is a telecommunications standard for the wireless transmission of data through radio signals) networks.

With its built-in navigation capability, the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 can take customers wherever they want to go with mapping, audible turn-by-turn navigation and access to information on more than 14 million points of interest.
