How to view hidden files and files extension in Windows Vista

In Windows Vista folder option is provided through Control Panel under appearance and personalization.

Windows Vista Folder Option

On clicking the Folder Options link the following dialogs box gets displayed.

Using the above the Folder Options you can specify whether you would want to show hidden files and folders, hide extensions of known files e.t.c. and this similar to the Folder Options available in Windows XP for Showing hidden files and folders and also the File Extensions.
