Windows Live Writer and WordPress Blog server error 32700

Windows Live Writer displays the following error while trying to publish a post to WordPress 2.6.1 blog.

Wordpress Error Live Writer

The reason the for this error might be because the xmlrpc.php file in the WordPress installation directory is corrupted. Try replacing this file with from the original WordPress installation setup.
