There are instances during web site testing where you would like to simulate a low Internet connection speed. Some of the tools that can be used for this purpose are Fiddler2 and Sloppy.

Fiddler2 provides an option under Rules -> Performance Menu -> Simulate Modem speeds. By default the Internet Connection Speed available on selecting this option will be equivalent to 6.6 Kb/s.

Sloppy provides different Internet connection speed for simulation. And the lowest connection speed available using this tool is 9.6 kb/s.
