Auto logon feature for a Windows Vista PC can be enabled by using User Accounts dialog box. To launch User Account dialog box, type in netplwiz in Start command followed by enter key.
This has a check box with Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer as the description. By un checking this check box and on clicking Apply, the following Automatically Log on dialog box would be prompted with corresponding username. After providing the password and clicking Ok, the user will not be prompted when they logon next time to the Windows Vista PC.
