How to play DVDs from different region in Windows Vista

DVD’s from one region does not work in DVD Drive from other region. In Windows Vista you will receive a similar error show below when you try to play it using Power Cinema.

One way of playing this DVD from region 2 is to change the Current Region Code of the DVD Drive to 2 using the Yes. Change it now option.

But the problem with this approach is you will not be able play your regular region DVD’s and the system allows you to change the region code only 5 times.

The other alternate way is to buy a new external DVD Drive and change the region to your DVD region code. You can try out Samsung DVD Writer External Optical Drive
