We all very well know that VLC media player plays any video formats and we mostly use players like window media player and Winamp to play music files. Have you ever tried playing music using the VLC player? Let me tell you how it stands when compared to other music players. The Graphic Equalizer in this player is more advanced and powerful. Open the VLC player (version I have is 0.9.8a, which can be downloaded for free) and you can see from the screenshot there is something called “Show extended settings” which will open up the adjustments and effects.
Click this button to get the Graphic Equalizer and enable the checkbox to get this activated (by default Graphic Equalizer is not activated when you play the music or video) You can select any preset you like to get the best quality of music to hear (best is Full bass or treble). This option can also be used to play your divx movies. You can very well compare the same feature available in other media players like winamp to see how VLC stands.
