Windows 7 displays the recently accessed programs in the Start menu. These programs can be cleared from the Start menu using the Start Button properties. The properties can be accessed by right clicking the Start button.
Under Taskbar and Start menu Properties click on the Start Menu tab
Under Privacy section, un select the check box “Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu”. This would clear the recently accessed programs from Windows 7 Start menu.
