Making a simple Mirror effect in Photoshop

Let’s get on with making a simple mirror effect in Photoshop

Step 1: Create a new Photoshop document of size mentioned below (500×165),

Step 2: Create a new layer and drop a Gradient, I used the colours (4AF300 and A8F288), your new doc will look something like this,

Step 3: Now let’s add a text (you may choose any text that you would like and the colour), once done your doc will look like this,

Step 4: Create a duplicate layer of the text you have added. To do this right click on the Layer window say “Duplicate Layer”. Then press Crtl + T and drag the control from the top.

You will see the doc like this,

Step 5: Now set the Opacity of the duplicate layer to 30% (Setting the Opacity is in the Layer window, see screenshot below)

Step 6: When the opacity is set to 30% you are done with it and now your doc will have the mirror effect for your text,
