Nokia N97 mini provides Email Widgets for configuring emails accounts such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and even any exchange mailbox. The steps below provides instructions for configuring Gmail in Nokia N97 mini
1. Click on the Menu button on your phone. It should display the list of available items on your Phone menu.
2. Select Messaging from the Menu items.
3. Click on the Options link and select settings from menu item
4. Select Email from the available menu
5. Select Mailboxes and followed by the Options link
6. Navigate to New mailbox link
7. Select Start link
8. Enter E-mail address (your gmail address)
9. Enter Password for your email account
10. Select Gmail and click on the Options
11. Select E-mail settings from the menu list
12. Select Connection settings
13. In the Incoming mail connection, make sure to set the APOP secure login to Off value.
14. Navigate back to your Gmail Mailbox and select Connect options to download new or all messages.

I have tried to set the email settings as mentioned above several times but have failed to get connected to gmail. When I start connecting I get message “Messaging server not found” then after that “Check the settings.” Pleas help me out in getting my system connected to gmail.
You might need to go to Incoming Mail settings and Outgoing Mail settings and type in your password and then try to connect. That should work. I had the same issue.
