Capture a screenshot on Samsung Wave II

You can capture an image of anything being displayed on your Wave II (like the Print screen option in your PC). It is triggered by using a hotkey in the mobile phone and unlike Print screen option in your PC, the Wave II screenshot engine is capable of capturing screens of even 3D environment like Games, stereoscopic images or multimedia development software. They come handy when you want a reference for something. The images that are provided here are also screenshots taken from the actual device.

To take a screenshot, you simply have to follow the steps below.

  1. First take notice of the primary picture storing partition on your mobile phone, whether it’s the memory card or the built-in phone memory. The screenshots taken will be saved to the primary preferences.
  2. Now open the application whose screenshot you wish to take. Wait for the moment and then hold down two keys:
    a. Main Menu Key (The diamond shaped key which you use to access the Main Menu)
    b. Lock Key (Located at the top-right side of the mobile phone, used to lock phone)
  3. Press the buttons and hold them, first Main Menu and then the Lock Key, and hold them for 1 second. You will be presented with a “Screen Captured” message.
  4. Now navigate to the folder where pictures are saved, and look for the image. You will find that it is exact copy of the real-time screen which was captured.
