This tutorial provides the steps for changing the folder used for storing deleted items in Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010. If you have configured an IMAP account such as Gmail in Outlook 2010 then deleted items will be stored in a folder named as Trash. If you want to change the deleted items folder then click the File menu and select Account Settings under Info menu. In the Account Settings window, select IMAP account and click the Change button. Then click the More Settings available under the Change Account Window.
In the Internet E-mail Settings window, select Move deleted items to the following folder on the server option and choose your desired folder from the displayed list or create a new folder.
Click on Ok button to save the changes.
