Change spacing of characters in Word

Word 2016, 2013 & 2010 allow users to change the spacing characters in document using the Font Advanced Option. Let us take an example of a document displaying words with character spacing as shown below


If you want to reduce the spacing between the characters then you can follow the below mentioned steps

Click the Expand icon for the Font option.


Navigate to Advanced tab in Font dialog and click the drop down option with caption as Spacing and value as Expanded.


Now set the value for Spacing drop down to Normal. Click the OK button to confirm and save the changes. By this way you can change the character spacing of any document in Word 2010.
