Disable automatic creation of contacts for recipients in Outlook

Outlook 2010 automatically crates outlook contacts for the recipients who are not part of the Outlook Address book. This feature can be disabled using the Outlook Options.

Click on the File menu –> Options

Outlook 2010 Options

Navigate to Contacts screen

Automatically create contacts in Outlook 2010

In the Contacts screen, under Suggested contacts un tick the check box with label Automatically create Outlook contacts recipients that do not belong to an Outlook Address Book. This will prevent outlook from automatically creating contacts for recipients.

Please note that this feature has been removed from Outlook 2013.

I’ve done this, but Outlook 2010 still auto-adds anyone from the same domain that I send an email to. We have a global corporate address book and I don’t want these people added to my personal address book. How do I make it stop?

I have turned off the Automatically create Outlook contacts recipients that do not belong to an Outlook Address Book but when I send an email to someone who is not in my contacts list, their address still saves for auto-complete (but not in suggested contacts). How do you make that part stop?? I can manually delete those, but I should be able to turn that off as well. The only addresses I want to see in auto-complete are the addresses that are in my contact list. Please help!
