How add another keyboard language to Mac

In this beginners tutorial, let us see the steps for adding another keyboard to Mac (Yosemite) using Language & Region System Preferences.

Step 1: Launch Language & Region System Preferences via Spotlight search or System Preferences menu option.

Step 2: In the Language & Region screen, navigate to Preferred languages screen and click the + sign.

Step 3: Select your preferred language from the list and click Add button. In the screenshot below, I have selected Tamil as the other language that needs to be added to Mac.

Step 4: Now you will be prompted with the following “Changing primary language” option. Select your preferred language as the primary language.

Step 5: Then select input sources to add for the new language.

Now your Mac menu bar should provide the option to choose between the language as shown in the below screenshot.
