How to always keep the cursor on Formula bar in Excel 2010

When you are editing a cell in Excel 2013 & Excel 2010, by default the cursor pointer will be on the editing cell instead of formula bar. This could create problem when you are typing information more than the cell width as you may not be not able to see the full content as you type. You can overcome this problem by changing the keyboard focus to the Formula bar by using Excel Advanced Options.

Click the File menu –> Options link then navigate to Advanced Options.

Under Editing Option, un mark the check box with label as Allow editing directly in cells. Then click the OK button to confirm and save the changes. By this way you can position the cursor on the Formula bar instead of the editing Cell.
