This tutorial provides the steps for changing the default view in PowerPoint 2011 for Mac. The default view for a presentation is set to Normal and let us see how to change this to Outline.
Click the PowerPoint icon and select Preferences from the menu list.
In the Preferences window, click the View tab and navigate to Show section.
Set the value for Default view for presentations as Outline View. Now when a new presentation is opened it will be automatically opened in Outline view instead of Normal.
