Microsoft Excel by default takes the installed user’s name as the owner of the installed version. You can personalize the username to your desired name using the Excel options. This is the same username that appears when you add a comment in Excel worksheet.
Listed below are the the steps to be followed to update the installed user name in Excel 2013, Excel 2010 and Excel 2007
Excel 2013 and Excel 2010
1. Click File menu and select Options from the menu list.
2. In the General Option, navigate to Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office and enter your desired name in User name field.

2. Select Popular tab and navigate to Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office section. Provide the required username and click OK button to save the changes.
