How to clear content only in Excel

Microsoft Excel provides users with various formatting option such as Number, Currency, Date and time that can be applied to a cell. But if you have a scenario where you want to only clear the content of the excel sheet and to preserve the format applied to the cells then you can use Clear Contents feature. Mentioned below are the steps to clear content and preserve formatting of cell in Excel 2013, Excel 2010 and Excel 2007

Click the Home menu and navigate to the Editing section.

In the Editing section, click the dropdown arrow available next to Clear menu and select Clear Contents from the menu list. This would only the clear the content of the Excel Sheet and formatting will be kept intact.
