How to convert OpenOffice Spreadsheet to Excel Worksheet

OpenOffice provides user with the option to convert the spreadsheet in to Microsoft Excel. OpenOffice users can either the save the file in to Excel format or email the file as Excel Worksheet.

Save As Excel Spreadsheet

Click the File menu and select Save or Save As from the menu list.


In the Save dialog box, click the File type drop down and pick the required Excel format.



Then click the Save button to convert the OpenOffice spreadsheet in to Excel worksheet.

E-mail as Microsoft Excel

Another quick way to convert the spreadsheet from OpenOffice to Microsoft Excel is by using the option available as part of the Send menu.


Click the File menu then navigate to Send and select E-mail as Microsoft Excel option. This would launch your default mail application with converted Microsoft Excel file as an attachment.
