How to create a Windows 8 bootable USB drive

Here we are going to see how to create a bootable USB drive with Windows 8 Release operating system. The tool that will be used for creating the bootable USB drive is Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool.

Step 1: Download the Windows 8 Release ISO image from Microsoft Website. Make sure to download the right ISO image depending upon your system type 64-bit or 32-bit.

Step 2: Download and install Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool from Microsoft Store. This tools seems to work fine even on a Windows 8 consumer preview Operating system as well.

Step 3: Launch Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool and select the path for the ISO image.

Step 4: In the Choose media type, click the USB device button.

Step 5: Now pick the USB drive from the list of available drives and click the Begin copying button.

Step 6: Erase all the content in USB drive and tool would continue with the process of creating bootable USB device.
