Creating a desktop shortcut for a webpage in Google Chrome can be done using the Create application shortcuts option. To create a shortcut for a webpage, open the webpage in Google Chrome then click on the Control menu and select Create application shortcuts from the menu list.
This would display the following Create application shortcuts window.
Select the places where you want to create shortcut for the web page. The available options are Desktop, Start menu and Quick launch bar and then click on the Create button. Now a shortcut with the name as “How to’s_ Office 2010_ Windows 7_ Vista_ Browsers” will be available on the Desktop, Start menu and Quick launch bar.
