How to customize the toolbar in OpenOffice Writer

This tutorial provides the steps required for customizing the toolbar in OpenOffice Writer. For example you want to make changes to the Page setup before taking any print out then it would be useful to have Print option instead of Print File Directly. You can customize the toolbar by following the below mentioned steps.

Right click on the Toolbar and select Customize Toolbar from the menu list.

Click the Add button in the Customize window.

After selecting Documents under Category and Print from the Commands section, click the Add button. Then click the Close button to close the Add Commands screen.

The newly added Print command can be placed to your desired position by using the Up and Down arrows. Unmark the Print File Directly option to remove it from the Toolbar. Then click OK button to confirm and save the changes.

Now the Print option should be available as part of the Toolbar.
