Disable autocomplete suggestion feature in Excel

Excel Auto Complete features automatically suggests a value based on previous entries. Similar to disabling auto fill feature, Excel 2010 provides option for disabling the autocomplete suggestion feature as well. So you turn off auto complete suggestion feature if you find it distracting.

Auto complete suggestion in Excel 2010 and Excel 2013

Listed below are the steps to disable autocomplete suggestion in Excel 2013 and Excel 2010.

Step 1: To disable autocomplete suggestion feature in Excel, click the File menu and then Options to launch the Excel Option window.

Step 2: Select Advanced tab and navigate to editing Options.

Step 3: Under Editing options, un mark the check box with label as Enable Autocomplete for cell values 

Step 4: Click OK button to confirm and save the changes.
