How to disable JavaScript in Firefox

Firefox provides option for disabling the execution of JavaScript in a Webpage. This can be done using the Options menu.

Click Tools menu –> select Options from the available menu list and navigate to the Content tab.


In the Content tab, un tick the check box with label as Enable JavaScript. Click OK button to confirm the changes.This would disable the execution of JavaScript in a Webpage.

You can also use the Advanced JavaScript Settings to enable or disable selected actions  as shown below.
