Quickly capture screenshot using Microsoft Word

Word 2013 and Word 2010 users can take screenshot of open windows using the option available as part of Insert menu. This option allows user to take either full screenshot or screen clipping of the selected window.

Step 1: Open Word application and navigate to Insert menu.

Step 2: In the Insert menu, navigate to Illustrations section and click the arrow pointing downwards under Screenshot option.

This should display the a list of open windows as shown in the above screenshot.

Step 3: You can insert the screenshot by selecting the specific window under Available Windows.

If you want only a part of application window, then click the Screen Clipping option and mark the specific part of the window that needs to be captured.

Adding hyperlink to Screenshot

The Screen Capture feature also allow users to add link to the screenshot. For example, if you are taking screenshot of a webpage then while selecting the browser window from the available windows, click Yes button in the following option window.

This would add a hyperlink to your screenshot with to the URL of the captured browser window.
