Enable automatic warning for missing attachment in Outlook

How many times you have sent an email referring to attached documents but with out any attachments. Now here is a feature in Outlook 2016 & Outlook 2013 that would display a warning message if it finds the message might be missing attachments. For example an email message that has text such as ‘Please find the attached screenshot” but does not contain any attachment then the warning message will be displayed. This feature can be enabled by using the option available as part of the Mail Settings.

Step 1: Launch Outlook 2013, click the File menu and select Options.

Step 2: In the Outlook Options window, click the Mail Options.

Step 3: Scroll down the Mail Options and navigate to Send messages section.

Step 4: Mark the check box with caption as Warn me when I send a message that may be missing an attachment.

Now when ever you send an email message that might be missing an attachment the following Attachment Remainder warning message will be displayed.
