How to enable remote login on Mac OS X Lion

In this tutorial we will see how to enable remote login using SSH on Mac OS X Lion. Click the apple icon and select System Preferences from the menu list.

In the System Preferences window, navigate to Internet & Wireless section and click Sharing option.

This would display the following Sharing window.

In the Services list, mark the check box with label as Remote Login. And if you want provide access to only certain users then you can enter the list of users under the Allow access for section by selecting Only these users radio option.
