How to export contacts in Outlook

Outlook 2016 and Outlook 2013 like previous versions of Microsoft Outlook provide users with the option to export contacts from Outlook. Listed below are the steps required for transferring contacts from Outlook to a comma separated values file.

Step 1: Click the File menu and select Open & Export from the list.

Step 2: In the Open & Export screen, select Import/Export option. This should display the following Import and Export Wizard.

Note:- You can also access the Import and Export Wizard using the Outlook Advanced Option (File > Options > Advanced Option > Export.

Step 3: Now choose “Export to a file” in Import and Export Wizard

Step 4: Then choose “Create a file type” as Comma Separated Values in Export to a file screen.

Step 5: Now select the Contact folder from where you want to transfer contacts to .csv file.

Step 6: Provide a name for your file export in Save exported file as field.

Complete the export by clicking the Finish button. Now you should see all your Outlook contacts available in Comma Separated Values file.
