How to find word count for paragraph in Word Mac 2011

Word for Mac 2011 users can quickly find the word count for a paragraph or selected text from the status bar. Let us say you have selected the following text

Now the status bar would display the Word count as shown below

Users can also check the detail Word Count statistics using the option available as part of the Tools menu. Click the Tools menu and select Word Count from the displayed menu list.

This would display the following statistic window with count of Pages, Words, Characters (no spaces), Characters (with spaces), Paragraphs and Lines.

If you do not want to include text in footnotes and endnotes then un tick the check box with label as Include footnotes and endnotes.
