How to GoTo a heading in Word 2013 and Word 2010

Word 2013 and Word 2010 allows users to Go To a heading in a word document based on the heading number. This can be done by using the Go To option available as part of Find menu option.

To find a heading using the Heading number

  1. Navigate to Editing section and click the drop down arrow below the Find menu option and select Go To.


  1. In the Find and Replace dialog, click the Go To tab and specify the number in the Enter heading number field


  1. Click Go To button to navigate to the specified heading number in the word document.

The other simpler and easiest alternative to navigate between the heading is to use navigation pane in Word 2010.
