Now using Word 2010, 2013 and 2016 you can create a Cover page for your Word Document. This can be done using the Insert Cover Page option available as part of Insert menu. List below are the steps to add cover page for document in Word 2016, Word 2013 and Word 2010.
Click Insert menu and navigate to Pages section.
Click on the Cover Page drop down to display the list of available Cover Page templates
Click on the Cover Page Template that you want and this would be inserted in to the Word Document. Customize the template with required details. You can also download more Cover Page template from Office.com using the More Cover Pages from Office.com
If you want to Remove the Cover Page from the document then choose the Remove Current Cover Page.
