How to install software update on Google Nexus 7

This tutorial covers the steps required for installing the latest software update on Google Nexus 7. Let us see this by installing the Android KitKat on a Google Nexus 7 device.

When a new system update is available, you should see the following notification on Nexus 7. You can see the notification details by swiping from top to bottom from top of the screen.

Then tapping System update downloaded will display the following Android 4.4 System Update screen with Restart & Install option.

But if you do not see the availability of system update notification then you can manually check for software update by accessing settings screen.

Step 1: Access the Settings option by tapping the icon list on the Home the screen.

Step 2: In the Setting screen, scroll down and tap the About option.

Step 3: Tap the System updates on the About tablet option.

This should display the latest system update screen.

Step 4: Tap the Restart & Install option to continue with the system update.
