How to organize bookmarks in Google Chrome

This tutorial is about the Bookmark Manager available in Google Chrome that helps users to organize bookmarks. You can navigate to the Bookmark Manager by clicking the Bookmarks menu and selecting Bookmark Manager from the menu list.


Grouping Bookmarks

Google Chrome users can group bookmarks by creating a folder and assigning all the related bookmarks. This can be done by clicking down arrow available next to Organize menu and selecting Add Folder from the list.


Enter the name of the folder then drag and drop all the related webpages in to the newly created folder. In the below example screenshot, we have created a folder named iPad and moved all iPad related websites to that folder.


Import and Export Bookmarks

Organize menu under Bookmark Manager also allows users to take backup of bookmarks and importing of bookmarks from other computers.


Search Bookmarks

If you have created lot of bookmarks then you can use the search bookmarks option to quickly find any bookmark based on search keyword.


Other features

The Organize menu also provides other features like deleting, renaming, moving, copying copying bookmarks.
