How to quickly find your IP address using Google Search

We have already seen tips for using Google Search effectively and now you can add one more tip to that list, of finding your IP using Google Search. You do not need to install any tool or Google Chrome extension to find your IP address.

If the default search engine of your browser is set to Google then type my ip address in the address or open google search and type in my ip address in the search box. This would then display your iP address as shown below.

google search my ip address

You can also type “my ip“, “show ip“, “what is my ip” in Google Search text box to find out the IP address.

Please note that this would be the external IP address of you system and if you have not asked for static IP address from your ISP then it is quite possible that you will not be retaining the same IP address when ever you connect to Internet.
