i actually managed to recover my account! I went to outlook by accident, then I saw that I was still signed in. When you try to reset your password on hotmail, it asks you for information like the subjects of emails you have sent etc, so I typed these in for microsoft to review, so within minutes they replied and i was able to recover my account! the scammers weren’t smart enough to check what was on the application, so they didn’t bother deleting anything.
