Hotmail users can secure their account by enabling HTTPS using the option available as part of Advanced settings. Using HTTPS will help to keep your account secure from hackers.when you are accessing hotmail from public computers or unsecured Wi-Fi connection.
Enable HTTPS in Hotmail
Login to your hotmail account, click the Options menu and select More Options from the menu list.
In the Hotmail Options screen, navigate to Customizing Hotmail section and click Advanced Privacy Settings.
Now click the Go to HTTPS Settings available under Using HTTPS for extra security section.
In the Connect with HTTPS screen, select the radio option with label as “Use HTTPS automatically” and click the Save button.
Temporarily enable HTTPS
Hotmail will not work when you access from Windows Mobile, MSN Explorer after enabling HTTPS. And if you want to enable HTTPS occasionally then you temporarily enable HTTPS by entering “https” in front of web address instead of “http”
