Change background theme for email messages in Outlook

Microsoft Outlook users can customize the background theme for a new outlook message. In this tutorial, let us see the steps for changing the background themes for messages in Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2007.

Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 users can permanently change theme using the option available as part of Stationery and Fonts.

Click the File menu –> Options –> click the Mail tab in Outlook Options window.

In the Signatures and Stationery window, click the Theme button under Personal Stationery section.

This would launch the following Theme or Stationery Chooser window. Now can you select your preferred theme from the displayed list and also check the preview in Sample of theme section.

You can also turn on or turn off the Background Images, Vivid Colors and Active Graphics.

If you are looking to change the theme for a single email message then click File –> New Items –> E-mail Message Using –> More Stationery

Background themes in Outlook 2007

Outlook 2007 users can change the message background using the New Mail Message Using option.

The New Mail Message Using option can be accessed by clicking Actions menu -> New Mail Message Using.

Then selecting the More Stationery.. from menu would display the Theme or Stationery window. Using the Theme or Stationery Window, you can select the preferred theme.
