How to set default search engine in Google Chrome

Google Chrome provides options to set default search engine using the Google Chrome Customize and Control option. The default search engine will be used for searching while using address bar for searching web. Click the Chrome Customize and Control option available at the top right hand corner.

Select Settings from the menu list. In the Settings page, scroll down to Search section.

This should display the default search engine and also provides option for changing to different search engine.

Click Manage search engines to add more search engine other than the engines that are available in the dropdown list.

Make third party search engine as default search engine

Navigate to Other search engines section and click select the item in the list and click the Make default option. For example, you want to make your blog as default search engine then navigate to your blog and select Make default option. Now your blog will be added as part of the Search engines drop down list.

Similarly Google Chrome provides option to add new search engine to the existing list and also the option to remove any search engine.
