How to take backup of outlook mail contacts on Mac

Outlook for Mac 2011 has a feature that lets user to take backup of the contacts for the configured mail accounts. Listed below are the step by step instruction for doing the export of the contacts to a text file.

Step 1: Launch Outlook 2011 for Mac.

Step 2: Click File menu and select Export from the menu list.

The following Export screen will be displayed.

Step 3: Navigate to “What do you want to export?” section and select the radio option with caption as “Contacts to a list (tab-delimited text)“. Then click the right arrow available at the bottom of the Export screen.

This should prompt you with the following Save screen as shown below.

Step 4: Now enter a name for the Outlook Mail Contacts export file and click the Save button. Once the exporting of contacts is complete, you should see the following confirmation screen.
