Microsoft Outlook 2010 displays the Social network activities of the contacts below their emails. This is known as the People Pane and would display the social network activities the Outlook Social Connector. The activities can be tracked form different accounts such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Windows Live Messenger, Viadeo. But if you are an Outlook user who is does not want these information then you can turn off the people pane. This can be done by using the setting option provided as part of View menu.
- From Outlook File menu, navigate to View menu
- Then navigate to People Pane section and click the drop down arrow under People Pane menu option.
- Select Off from the list of available menu option.
By this way you can turn off the people pane and provided more space for the email message window.
