How to unhide the ruler in Word

Word 2010 and 2013 has a feature which displays a ruler on the top and on the left hand side of the document.  These are known as horizontal and vertical rulers which are useful for aligning text, graphics and other objects in a word document.

In case if you Word 2010 does not show the horizontal and vertical ruler then you can check the options provided under the View menu. To unhide the ruler in Word document,

In the Office Ribbon, navigate to View menu. Under View menu, navigate to Show section and mark the checkbox with label as Ruler.


This would enable Ruler feature and Word document would now start displaying the horizontal and vertical ruler as shown below.
