How to uninstall a software update on Windows 7

Windows 7 provides users with option for uninstalling any software updates or Windows Update. You can try this out if have any problem with your system and you suspect a recent software update could have caused this issue.

To remove an update, Click Windows 7 Start menu and then navigate to Control Panel

From Control Panel home screen, navigate to Programs and then Programs and Features. Then click the View installed updates link available on the left hand side of the Window.

To see the latest installed update, sort by Installed On column and then select update you want to remove. Click on the Uninstall options available on the top updates list.

You will be prompted with the following Uninstall an update confirmation message. Click Yes to continue with removing the program.
