How to view documents side by side in Word 2013

Microsoft Word 2013 users can view two documents side by side using the option available as part of View menu. This is a quite useful feature when you want to compare two documents. This feature also supports synchronous scrolling i.e scrolling one document will scroll the other document as well.

Step 1: Launch two word documents that you want to view side by side.

Step 2:  Make one of the document as active and navigate to View menu.

Step 3: Navigate to Window section in View menu and click View Side by Side menu option. This should immediately display both the documents side by side as shown in the below screenshot.

Scrolling the first document would automatically scroll the other document. And you can turn off synchronizing scrolling using the Synchronous Scrolling toggle switch.

The option below Synchronous Scrolling switch can be used to Reset Windows Position of both documents equally

And when you click View Side by Side menu option again will display single document.
