Insert date in Word displays {DATE\@"dd-MM-yyyy"}

We have already seen how to insert current date in Word 2013 and Word 2010 and also the keyboard shortcut for inserting date in Word 2010. And when inserting the Date if it gets displayed as {DATE\@"dd-MM-yyyy"} i.e date format instead of actual date value, then you can use the Advanced Options to fix this problem.

To correct the display of date time value in Word 2010, click File menu –> select options link. This would display the Word Options as shown below.


Now click Advanced options and then scroll down to the Show document content section. In Show document content section, un tick the checkbox with label as Show field codes instead of their values. Click OK button to apply this changes.
